Ava is starting to get into things....

Oh, you caught me! Looking so innocent, isn't she? Ava's curiosity seems to really be getting the best of her lately. She can roll/scoot her way across the floor now, and the other day she happened to run into the coffeetable. From there, she discovered that she could open the drawers. I would close them as she could pull them all the way out and on to herself, and she'd just grin and pull it out again. I think the timeouts are right around the corner for us! I guess I should be happy that she is moving around and exploring. I just found it comical that she would grin the whole time she was doing it.

Mom & Dad's 40th Anniversary Party

We hosted a surprise party for my parents this past weekend in honor of their 40th Wedding Anniversary. Their actual anniversary is not until November, but we wanted to have it when all of the family could be here. Shelly came the night before to help with food preparation and just general cleaning which was a lifesaver. Sandy was staying with Mom and Dad so she was in charge of getting them to the house and making sure they were looking good for their party. I think we were successful in surprising them. It was a great time for everyone as many of Mom and Dad's friends were there that they had not seen in a long time. Ava seemed to enjoy the attention as usual as everyone was holding her and playing with her. All the other kids were able to play outside since we were fortunate enough to have a beautiful day.
