Pumpkin Patch Part 3:

The kids loved the wagon ride with their pumpkins

I just love fall pictures so I couldn't resist this grove with the beautiful trees!  My kids even cooperated for some pictures (although I had to put a mini pumpkin on my head to get them to laugh!).  It was worth it!  What fun memories! 

Pumpkin Patch Part 2:

Owen wasn't quite big enough for the trike, but he tried very hard! 

Ava loved the big trikes! 

 

Lunch time!

 We left Lakefield and stopped by Worthington at the orchard where we usually pick our own pumpkins.

They havev nice wagons you can pull out to the patch which work great for kids and pumpkins! 

 

Ava was in charge of making the pumpkin selections.  We picked out little ones for her and Owen and big ones for Daddy and me.  She was very proud of her selections!

It was a very warm day (we were actually overdressed) for the pumpkin patch.  Regardless, the kids had fun enjoying the outdoor activities.

The petting zoo was a big hit- we ran out of quarters for all the food the kids went through!

We took a last minute trip to meet my sister Shelly and family in Sioux Falls at the zoo.  Her kids had the day off from school and Ava was done with preschool for the day, so it worked out to meet for the afternoon.  It was absolutely perfect weather and we enjoyed our walk around the zoo.  The kids really seemed to enjoy the animals, especially feeding them.  Owen didn't spend much time in the stroller as he was Sam's little buddy for the day.  Sam takes such good care of him, making sure he doesn't stray too far from the group.  Owen just loves him!  Addie and Ava were inseparable as usual.  Reese was even a good sport for the outing.

This park had all kinds of ducks and geese that loved to be fed and were very tame.

Our next stop after Falls Park was to this little park on the east side of Sioux Falls just out of town.  There were all kinds of ducks and geese in the pond and my kids just loved to feed them.  Ava was very brave and would get pretty close, but Owen would just throw his bread so the ducks wouldn't come near him.  The trees that lined the water looked just like a postcard.  It was a beautiful spot.
