Bathing & Trying out the Sippy Cup June 2008

Ava is beginning to show some signs of "growing up" lately. She can now sit in the bath tub instead of lying down which she definitely likes. I got her some different sized cups to play with in the tub, but she prefers the yellow duckie by far. She chases it around the tub and if it gets out of her reach, she will settle for another toy. We have to watch her and eventually she gets tired and has to lie down.
We have tried giving her the sippy cup a few times, but the only ones we had were from Aunt Shelly, and they were a little larger and did not have handles on the sides. I ordered this sippy on the internet and she latched right onto it. She knows right where to put her mouth and sucks on it like a bottle, but can't figure out she need to tip it up to get anything. Regardless, she loves to play with it. It seems to be a hit with her.
She also recently started liking the door bouncer. It has taken repeated attempts and a lot of her just sitting in it and crying, but now she likes it. She was in it today for almost and hour before breaking down and wanting out. It's still not as big of a hit as the exersaucer, but she enjoys the jumping.

The House Projects Continue....

The house continues to be a "work in progress" as we try to get things in order. It seems Brad spends more hours in the skidloader than in the house, but he does enjoy every moment. I had no idea that there was so much dirt work to be done, but he continues to find more dirt to move. I did get the first section of landscaping done on the east side of the house. We are going to order rock this week to go around the bushes and enough to do the front of the house. I ran out of bushes to plant, so this will be on ongoing project this week (weather permitting). Brad has to finish the columns in the front and then I get to paint them. Then the front may actually look finished! Could it be possible?
