A Ponytail and the Boots...

The First Pony
Just as flexible as her mom!
The boots
I made an attempt to put all of Ava's hair up the other day in a single ponytail. She stood very still as I struggled to make it all work. She even seemed pleased as I sprayed hairspray in her hair to make it a little less slippery. However, I don't know that I will do it again soon because it made her look so old! She just looked like a little girl. Even Brad commented on how different she looked with all her hair up. Same goes with the boots. She did throw a little fit when I put the boots on because they were different and she wanted them off. After she wore them for a minute or so, then she decided she liked them. While I certainly don't have the legs to pull of leggings and boots together, Ava looked cute!

A visit to Daddy's job site and Grandma Chris's...

November with no coat!
Playing with the mud Ava & Grandma Chris
Brad has been working lots of hours lately, so we decided on a nice Saturday that we would go with him to the college in Worthington and enjoy the beautiful weather and pick up some groceries while he worked. It was hard to believe in November that Ava was playing outside with no coat on. It was absolutely a gorgeous day and she seemed to enjoy the wide open spaces to run around. She did, of course, manage to find the mud in the parking lot, so she had to get into that a little bit. I think Brad was glad we were there keeping him company.
Ava and I also made a trip down to see my parents the other day. It was another gorgeous November day. Ava loves the farm, especially KC the dog. She talks about everyone's dogs all the time. You'll often hear her ask where Max (Grandma Joyce's dog), KC, or Boomer (Hannah's dog) is? She gets them confused sometimes as to whose is who's, but thoroughly enjoys conversating about them. Ava also loves the tractors, but hasn't had a ride yet. I still think she'd be too scared...maybe next summer.
