We enjoyed our time in Wilmont for the huge Sieve family reunion.  We even made the Daily Globe!  There were tons of people there (I think around 200+).  Gary and Joyce along with lots of help from Gary's siblings did a great job of putting it all together.  The food was great and we enjoyed meeting some new relatives we hadn't ever met before.

Rock County Fair....

Owen, Andrea Luitjens, and Ava

Katherine, Ava, & Andi

Dean and Owen- a true accomplishment to get Owen next to an animal.  It took lots of persuasion!

We talked Ava into actually petting the horse!

It was another fun night at the Rock County Fair.  We met Dean and Laura Luitjens at the fair so that Ava and Andrea could go on rides together.  The kids were beyond hyper but enjoyed going through the animal buildings.  Owen was scared to get near any animal.  We tried several times as there were lots of farm animals you could pet.  Dean was finally able to persuade him, but it wasn't easy.  The highlight for the girls was the rides, but Owen enjoyed a few too.  It was another late night for us, but worth all the fun!

Garretson State Park....

We started out with a picnic.  While Brad was grilling, Owen managed to slide down a slide into some mud at the bottom, so we had to change his clothes after we'd been there for 15 minutes.  He was hysterical about his dirty shorts! So typical!

We decided on this trip, that we could finally walk some of the many hiking trails at the state park.  We've always had a baby or I've been pregnant when we have come in the past, so hiking was not really an option.

The kids loved hiking along the river.

After a long hike, we had to cool off and put our feet in the water.  It was very warm!

Owen was good at following your lead and putting his feet where you did while you held his hand, but Ava was a bit more drama.  She eventually stopped freaking out when we had her step off the rocks and she realized the water was only a few inches deep.

Owen had so much to talk about.  We are loving all his conversation!  It was a long wait, but worth it to hear all he has to say about things now.

We didn't bother taking his shoes off, so he thought it was great to dip his shoes in the water!

Many of the trails were quite rough.  There were lots of times where we had to lift the kids over big rocks.  They loved the hiking and would have gone longer.

Owen did get tired and many miles on his feet!

We made our annual trip to Garretson, SD to the state park.  We usually go with Sandy when she's here visiting, but it didn't work this year.  It was a very warm day in the 90's, but we enjoyed hiking and seeing all the beautiful scenery and the refreshing water to dip our feet in.   Fun day!
