The Park....

Summer. Swings. Smiles :)

Annual Trip to Rock County Fair....

Ava & Andrea

In the pig barn (not my first choice)

Ava's first rollercoaster ride
We made our annual trip to the Rock County Fair. We ran into some friends of ours that have a little girl just a year older than Ava. Andrea and Ava had a blast riding rides and running around together. Ava could have cared less about the animals or anything else this year. It was all about Andrea and riding rides together. Shockingly, Ava rode the kitty rollercoaster and loved it. I've never been able to get her on that before, but I think it helped that she has Andrea to go with her. Owen was a trooper and never fussed the entire time in the stroller.

Owen's "big shot" chair and door obsession...

Yeah, I'm a big shot

Owen has become quite efficient in navigating around the house. He can make it from room to room without a problem. He used to not like the wood floors and would turn around to stay on the carpet, but that is no longer the case. Once he focuses on something he wants, he has not problem getting to it. He loves to open drawers and cabinet doors. The above pictures of him with that cabinet door are a typical activity for him that can last about 15 minutes. He just loves to see the door open and close even though it's so much work for him to get back and forth to move it. He is certainly much busier than I remember Ava being at this stage :)

Julia & Jocelyn....

We had a fun get together with the Rupp family. I'm afraid Julia & Jocelyn weren't nearly as excited to see Ava this year as they were to see Owen. Julia especially was all about what she could do for Owen which was so precious. Of course, Owen didn't mind the attention.

Owen is 9 Months Old....

At 9 months old, Owen is busy! He is rarely still and can move rather quickly, although still not crawling. He army crawls on his belly and kicks one leg, and also gets up on all fours all the time. We are surprised he isn't crawling. He is so happy! He can always put a smile on our faces. I will post stats after our doctor appointment tomorrow.

Ava's First Sleepover...

The giggles!

Good Morning!

It's no secret that Ava just loves to spend time with her cousin Addie. I invited Addie to come and stay with us overnight. Both the girls were very excited. They had a great time playing dress up and parading doll strollers between Ava's room and the toy room. They even both slept in Ava's room together with Addie on the cot, and there was no problems getting them to sleep. They did mention to me how they'd both really like a baby sister. Apparently, they had been discussing it :)

Summer fun...

One of Owen's favorite pass times these days!
Owen loves the swing
Beautiful day in our backyard. Ava enjoying her baby brother and Owen loving his big sister. I wish summer would never end!

Smith Get Together...

Sandy & Sean
Me, Mike, & Shelly
The Smith's have been family friends of ours since I was probably around 7-8 years old. They had all boys and we spent lot of time at their house growing up. As we have all moved to different states, it has been difficult to get together. I hadn't seen all of them in several years. It was a fun (and yet another terribly hot & humid) day! I even got a ride on Mike's Harley which I loved as long as we didn't go over 30 mph!

Grandma Chris's....

All bathed and ready for bed after a long day of playing (Ava, Owen, & Addie)...
Tractors are a big hit!
We spent a few quite chaotic days staying at my parent's house. Brad stayed home to work, but the kids and I headed down to stay in addition to my sister Shelly and her two kids, and my sister Sandy and her two kids. With six grandkids, the house was pretty busy. It was very fun to all stay together and the kids just love to play together. I'm sure Grandma Chris is enjoying the quiet time now that we are all gone :)

4th of July at Pioneer Village....

Happy 4th of July

Ava & Toby having fun in the heat!

Aunt Sandy & the "All American Baby"
We spent a hot and humid 4th of July in Worthington at Pioneer Village. They had an antique tractor pull and then we also toured all the neat old buildings. It was a very fun day despite the heat. Gary & Joyce also came to the tractor pull so Ava was very excited to have both her Grandmas there! Holding Owen as we went in and out of buildings that the stroller did not fit in was a little warm, but we survived with ice cream to top off the afternoon.

The Sieve 4th of July

Grandpa & Grandma with Owen & Ava

Great food, fun playground equipment, and good company. It was a great start to our 4th of July weekend enjoying a picnic in the park with Grandpa and Grandma.
