After 3 hours in the car, we stopped for a picnic (this wasn't our first stop as we had a short break earlier). The kids were glad to get out and run around. Much to our surprise, our kids were very good in the car. We were worried Owen was going to get upset, but he never cried the whole trip. He even took a little snooze after getting his belly full!

We really didn't have time to settle into our townhome before all the kids had their swimsuits on and were ready to hit the beach. It was a short walk (about 2 blocks) from our door where this was taken to the beach. (Ava, Sam, Addie, & Owen)

I planned a little getaway for my whole family in Alexandria, MN at Arrowwood Resort. We stayed there last summer briefly, and it was the only place I could find that had a big enough place for 14 people to stay together. My sister Sandy and family are home from Tucson, we we were all able to go. Lots of memories!
